SluiceBox is a Google TV and Android TV media player built for users who already have their own legal provider or playlist source.
The app does not provide TV channels, movies, series, playlists, subscriptions to media content, or copyrighted media. You must supply your own legal Xtream-compatible source, M3U/XMLTV source, local playlist file, or use the built-in demo provider for testing the app interface.
SluiceBox focuses on a fast TV-first experience for big screens and TV remotes:
- Live TV guide with channel groups, favorites, reminders, and playback
- Movies and series browsing with TV remote navigation
- Search across available live and on-demand content from your configured source
- Optional DVR tools for supported local recording setups
- Theme selection and premium visual layouts
- Optional companion remote support from a separate phone/tablet app on your local network
- Optional Auto VPN Detection safety setting that can stop playback if your VPN disconnects
Lite mode includes a usable free TV guide experience with limited settings. Premium unlocks the full experience, including premium settings and supported premium features. Purchases are processed through Google Play.
SluiceBox is designed for Google TV and Android TV devices with remote control navigation. It is not intended to be a phone or tablet media player. Content availability, guide data, logos, playback URLs, movies, series, and account details depend on the source that you configure.
